Based in West Dublin, Debbie Chapman paints from her studio in Chapelizod beside the Phoenix Park. She exhibits internationally and has work in public, corporate and personal collections such as The Hermitage Medical Centre, Dublin, Waterford General Hospital, IT Tralee and the Naas Courthouse in Kildare.
She uses oil and mixed media on archival paper, wooden panels and canvas. While remaining fluid and versatile in her approach and choice of subjects, a common thread runs throughout the work; an attraction to the often unseen and unnoticed. Unnoticed moments that can either flash or languidly pass before us. Unseen characters that inhabit the spaces and worlds between us. Unnoticed parts of ourselves - but that recently, have revealed themselves a little more often perhaps.
