PEPI RUANO
Painter born in Salamanca in 1958.
She studied at the Salesianas School in her hometown, where from a very young age she already excelled in painting and when she was only 6 years old she took part in her first painting contest. Her passion was so great that she decided to continue her pictorial studies in Fine Arts at the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
She also specialized in ceramics, where she studied and learnt different techniques, as well as artistic drawing and, of course, she refined her skills in the field of sculpture.
We would like to point out that what has really shaped Ruano as a professional has been the fast painting competitions, where she has won countless prizes and awards, as well as numerous recognitions. These competitions are what inspire her to continue learning and to continue training in the various techniques used in each of her canvases. We must confess that apart from the fact that she is passionate about the competitions. She is fascinated by being able to capture and transform a white canvas into a work of art, a work that only her eyes and her mind can imagine in such a short space of time.
Ruano has an incredible touch for fast execution. She has been awarded in many fast painting competitions with the FIRST PRIZE. She’s so skilful that she can do from seascapes to city views. Some of them are collage technique.
Her hobbies apart from painting are: spending time with her family, travelling and reading.
