Tea Švarić is a Croatian artist mostly focused on sculpting. Working and living in Dublin, her work centers aroundanimalistic motives in bronze medium. After graduating from the School of Applied Arts and Design in Zagreb and earningthe title of Metal Designer, she entered the Academy of Fine Arts Zagreb graduating with a Masters Degree in 2022.
During her studies, she exhibited in more than 30 different shows in Croatia and abroad. Her work can currently be seen in Zadar, Croatia at international exhibition Biennale of glass and Doorway Gallery, Dublin.

"This series of works in bronze is still in the making. Each workis a unique piece as a result of them being directly created in wax.
Name of the series: “Transient reflection in space”
With the play of colours and the composition, I create an unrealistic representation of animals, but retain their distinctiveness in their suggestive forms. This principle of "escape" from realism arose from the view of the Altamira caves.
The inseparability of shadow and sculpture emerged from many years of experimentation through the medium of sculpture in various works. I blur the sharp border that separates the sculpture from its shadow.
