CAREGIVER - Part of a series of portraits created to highlight and honour the important role carers have in society.
Jordan Dennis, 30, a full-time care worker at a nursing home in County Monaghan, Ireland. Jordan faced the challenges of working through the pandemic in a nursing home. In April 2021, he contracted Covid-19 whilst working with covid patients. At the time there was a severe Covid-19 outbreak, many patients died. Jordan himself was extremely ill for many weeks, but he did recover and returned to working with the patients. Passionate about his job, he wanted to get back as quickly as he could to be there for those at the nursing home. Shortlisted for the Zurich Portrait Prize Won the Small Architectural Prize at the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, London.
