This is again the work of Italian photographer Daniele Idini. Here are mostly local neighbours and not squatters, in enjoying a small, controlled bonfire after the first eviction attempt that morning. What had happened was that while contractors had held the place during the day, those that had finished securing the premises were blocked at the gates by the squatters outside. Gardai arrived, the contractors vans pushed their way forward, comrades and I on its bonnet. When some of us climbed underneath the front van attempting to exit the gates, gardai became alarmed and gave in to the demands of the squatters. We demanded that all security leave the premises open now and they did.
