I had travelled out to Rockabil in a boat and done some paintings on the island. The experience of seeing a place from shore is always totally different from one's experience when on the island and sometimes the mainland view simply works better than the other. I get a daily view of Rockabil very similar to this one from my home in North County Dublin but this one was painted from Loughshinny Harbour.
