Getting to know you – A series of online weekly exhibitions.
The Doorway Gallery will be hosting weekly online exhibitions called ‘Getting to know you’.
We feel that people may now have the opportunity to afford some of their spare time, to familiarise themselves with The Doorway Gallery Artists. As a number of our Artists haven’t had a solo shows with us yet, we therefore thought it was a good idea, to provide you with you an insight to the typical daily lifestyle of our Artists.
We want you to experience the transition of the painting in progress, before it makes its way to the gallery space. To also show you the artist’s studio, where all the masterpieces are created.
We will be hosting the Artist’s solo shows every Monday at 3pm, followed up by a live Q&A session on Thursday evenings at 6pm. This will present you with a unique opportunity to ask the Artist anything you wish to know about them.
Some of our artists are actively working on their solo shows at their studios, with the work being completed in time to provide you with a sneak preview, and discuss the ideas behind the paintings. All within an intimate setting to absorb the wonderful creations.
We always plan up to three years ahead of any of our exhibitions, and our artists are extremely busy with their preparations for the international art fairs for 2021. They are building up their masterpieces to provide a strong variety of works to exhibit for each individual show.
We will also be featuring online videos with a variety of content, for you to gain an insight on The Doorway Gallery artists. Some Artists will also be offering attractive pricing on their exhibits, exclusively for the event.
The show will not be posted online until the exhibition date and time of the show, so be sure to follow us on our social media accounts, to check in for regular updates and notifications of upcoming gallery events.

To kick the series off, we will be hosting our first online exhibition with Artist Dave West, with his online solo show entitled ‘Getting to know Dave West - Unseen works’.
“Getting to Know Dave West” will launch on May 4th at 3pm. When the works are posted on our website on May 4th at 3pm, why not try his new series of works on your own wall. With our new App, you can get the unique experience of being able to virtually hang one of Dave West’s paintings in your own home! Simply download our Doorway Gallery app, and follow the setup instructions.
In addition to our solo exhibitions, we will also be hosting a Facebook Live evening, so grab yourself a glass of vino, and sit back to enjoy posing a few questions to Dave West at 6pm on Thursday 7th May.
