Tony O’Connor, an acclaimed equine artist, has been captivating art enthusiasts and horse lovers around the world with his stunning, lifelike depictions of equine beauty. Born in Kerry in 1977, Tony comes from a long line of blacksmiths. His earliest memories of horses are vividly imprinted with the image of them being shod in his grand uncle Mossie’s smoke-filled forge. This early exposure to horses and craftsmanship laid the foundation for Tony’s deep connection with equine subjects and his artistic journey.
Tony studied Fine Art at Crawford College of Art & Design, where he also gained his Higher Diploma in Art Education.
