We are so thrilled to announce that the gallery will re-open its doors again December 1st.
To celebrate our return, our continuing annual Christmas show will be launched at an earlier date this year. It is difficult to comprehend, that it will be nearly 20 years since we first launched the gallery’s Christmas Show event.
Our “Christmas Stocking Fillers 2020’, is a unique show at The Doorway Gallery where all canvases are the same size and all selling for under €500. This spectacular exhibition provides you with a great opportunity to build an art collection of your favourite artist, all at very affordable prices. All of the gallery’s artists have been preparing tirelessly for this show, creating new works throughout the year.
Due to the pandemic climate, the majority of our artists are taking part in the show this year due to having no other commitments or scheduled art fairs. Fortunately, this alternative venture taken on by the artists, equates to there being more variation in art submissions to the Christmas gallery event.
For the first time this year, we have submissions from well established artists such as Trudy Good, Iain Holman, Karen Lightfoot, Maura Culbert, Peter Dee and Anne Doyle. The works are a combination of both figurative and colourful paintings, enjoying a celebration of art with a huge variety of original paintings from which to choose from. The Doorway Gallery can provide you with that ideal perfect gift, a lifetime possession if you will.
Should there be a specific artist of interest to you, but aren’t in a position to stretch your budget, we therefore provide the platform to invest in a piece of art, be it for someone special, or quite simply treat yourself to an early Christmas present. It has been a difficult year after all, so everyone needs some cheering up!
On a separate notification, we are very excitedly launching our new Doorway Gallery print website that will host a huge amount of prints from a large selection of artists. On that basis there will certainly be something for everyone’s individual tastes to choose from.
Our prints are currently on display, available for purchase at either of our two gallery outlets located at Nutgrove Shopping Centre and also at Stillorgan Shopping Centre.
Both Stillorgan & city centre are open from 12 – 5pm Monday-Sunday.
